Medical research concerning cancer and Japanese
Tohchukaso
The actual medical research
of the Japanese Tohchukaso was started by Prof. Kenichi Sasaki, the
head of the 2nd Cancer Research Institute of the
Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Yoshikazu Kondo, associate professor in the
Faculty of Medicine of Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. Currently,
this research is being inherited by Dr. Shinji Fushiya, an associate professor,
and Dr. Fumihide Takanoof the Faculty of Medicine of Tohoku University.

★１９７７（昭５２）年・日本医学会東北支部大会（秋田大学医学部） 東北薬科大学ガン研究所・佐々木健一教授、石川正明先生らと矢萩（本書の共同執筆
者）の共同研究である『About artificial culture and anti-tumor effects of ハチタケ』を発表。
★１９７８（昭５３）年・日本薬学会（岡山大学医学部） 佐々木健一教授、石川正明先生らと矢萩の共同研究である、『About
artificial culture and anti-tumor effects of the Japanese Tohchukaso』を発表。
★１９８３（昭５８）年・日本薬学会東北支部大会（岩手大学医学部） 東北大学医学部・近藤嘉和助教授と矢萩の共同研究によって、サナギタケから抗腫瘍
性成分“エルゴステロール・パーオキサイド”を発見。その制ガン作用について発 表。 Discovery
of the anti-tumor element エルゴステロール・パーオキサイド in サナギタケ.
★１９８４（昭５９）年・東北制ガン剤研究会 近藤嘉和助教授、佐々木健一教授、石川正明先生らと矢萩の共同研究である『About artificial culture and immunity building behavior of サナギ
ダケ』を発表。
★１９９５（平７）年６月・日本東洋医学会学術総会（金沢市） 東北大学医学部・近藤嘉和助教授、柴田病院・伊丹仁朗博士、香澄診療所・廣瀬薫ら
と矢萩信夫・禮美子の共同研究である『A research on the artificial culture of ハナサナギダケ（Japanese Tohchukaso）
and its clinical efficacy』を発表。
★１９９５（平７）年１０月・薬学論文 東北大学薬学部・伏谷眞二助教授、北条博史助教授、高野文英技官、菊池由美先生 （宮城県立ガンセンター所属）らと矢萩の共同研究である『About the immunity building behavior of the Japanese Tohchukaso’s
culture medium』を発表。
★１９９５（平７）年１０月・日本薬学会東北支部大会（山形大学医学部） 東北大学薬学部・近藤嘉和助教授、伏谷眞二助教授、北条博史助教授、高野文英技
官、菊池由美先生、柴田病院。伊丹仁朗博士、廣瀬らの共同研究である『The immune
efficacy of ハナサナギ ダケ and the clinical examples of its usage
in last stage cancers』を発表。

Dr. Kaoru Hirose (D. Med.)
廣瀬 薫（ひろせ かおる） 医学博士。
医療法人社団薫幸会香澄診療所理事長。 Born in 1944 in the Chiba
prefecture of Japan. Graduated the Faculty of Medicine of Toho
University in 1969. Working as a head of the 行徳中央病院院長, he started
the 香澄 clinic in 1982. In 1993, Toyo Medical Research Institute
was started in affiliation with 香澄診療所. Along with maintaining
the advantages of the western medicine and expanding beyond
its bounds and inducing the Chinese medicine, he is contributing
a lot towards the medical treatment of the community of his
district.
